Illuminate is an arts enrichment programme, created by Blackpool Grand Theatre for Blackpool’s children. Across a year of creative activity involving theatre, dance, spoken word, writing, visual arts and photography, the children worked with artists to explore and celebrate the brilliance of their resilience. The work that they produced reflected on important aspects about themselves and looked towards a positive future.
A short film featuring their co-created artistic experiences and artworks will be shared at a VIP screening for family and friends at Blackpool Grand Theatre this autumn, and will be made available to the public at the Winter Gardens during LightPool 2022.
