During lockdown, LeftCoast and Showtown and House of Wingz invited the public to submit original dance moves for a new social dance called ‘The Blackpool Way’. This dance was captured in iconic locations across the Town, filmed by WASH studios with music by Callum Harvie
The film features 15-year-old Blake Rainey as the main character, who dances through town, showcasing the best of Blackpool, its history of dance, and the vibrancy of the people who live here. It is a celebratory routine featuring moves like ‘Spot the Seagull’, ‘The Seaside Strut’, and ‘The Windy Walk’. The film plays every night on Victoria Street.
