Lightpool Festival Artworks

Lightpool Festival Artworks

Lightpool Festival is a celebrated walking festival of light art, extending over a 4km route through Blackpool’s town centre during the October half-term.

The Lightpool Festival programme positions us as a regional leader in the commissioning and presentation of outstanding artwork while also fostering the development of emerging artists.

By showcasing national and international artworks, we introduce a diverse array of artists and light installations to the town, complementing the traditional aesthetics of the promenade. The Illuminations serve as a significant heritage attraction, connecting generations of families for over a century.  Lightpool Festival provides artists with the opportunity to create works inspired by this rich history, which are then showcased at the Lightpool event.
