Spotlight Tom Mortlock-Jackson

A climate multi-media hydroponic light installation formed of 4 carbon capturing living systems, intertwined with a variety of interactive light elements and symbiotic sound reactive technologies. Immersing its audience with an organic sensory experience!

Biolluminate collaborates with communities through facilitated sound and film workshops. Through growing edible plants with local people to include in the installation, the project additionally creates a living sustainable cycle of its own.

This work educates climate positivity through this interactive installation, bringing attention to our relationship with nature and importance of agriculture through projections, sound reactive lighting and symbiotic soundscapes.

Audiences experience a bio-active system through light, provoking thoughts on food and climate, giving a sense and place for tranquillity and climate hope.

Sustainable through design, made using 25kg of Repurposed Plastic, 1.2m Glass Aquariums, and living edible plants!

Whilst working with communities on growing the plants, we donate 70% of crop to local food banks or growing spaces. The remaining 30% of plants are used in the work itself during the event.
