Blackpool City of Culture Survey

Hopefully you’ve heard that Blackpool is in the running to be the UK 2029 City of Culture. We’ve already beaten the likes of Bristol, Reading and Exeter to make the longlist, with the final shortlist set to be announced in October. Blackpool has a proud cultural heritage. We’ve been a home for some of the best entertainment in the world for years, as well as celebrating community events and local traditions. These will all part of making our bid stand out from our 8 competitors.

The independent panel of judges has challenged us to “be the best Blackpool we can be”. We need to think about the difference culture can make in the future, and to do that we need your help.

To do this, we’ve written a short survey to gather your experiences, views and ideas.

Your feedback will help us understand what culture means to people locally, what matters most, and how it can benefit residents, communities, and businesses.
